Here we have a 9”x12” oil on canvas board of the entrance to the Harpeth River out at LLBurns park in Kingston Springs. One of my favorite bends of the Harpeth, where I also painted a few fall scenes also available here on the site. I have some summer views coming as well, but back to this fun little rendering of the passing river with the afternoon sunlight piercing through the canopy and onto the wonderful pink, mauve, purple, blue, and oranges of the sands and river rocks along with a few non blooming mustard plants providing a nice cool teal and cobalt blue relief to a hot sunny day.
