Spring Afternoon at Cooks depicts my usual view of Percy Priest Lake from the Cooks Day Area, this being the first for spring. It’s nice to see the distant shores green and colorful again after being blues and violets for so many months. In this scene I decided to pay more mind to the sky and make sure I got the clouds and the slow pink of sunset setting in. The water surface is almost never still or very calm past sunrise. Here it was its usual semi choppy self.
