This little pond has made a second appearance in my painting, the first being last summer and a 10”x20”. The pond is private property but luckily it is located across the street from my sister’s house. A flock of Lark stopped by so I was glad to add them to the work. The quick and thick strokes are bold and leave no wondering if the pastels of spring have begun. I utilized my flats as usual and had my nephew assisting me for a while. An abundance of soft, muted colors lend such a nice peace to the scene. A gem for the lovers of ponds and open fields.
